Assistant Accountant
Role:
This fully remote Assistant Accountant position is for a rapidly growing financial services firm with headquarters in London. There is a lot of growth opportunities and the business has acquired a number of companies and will continue to expand.
Responsibilities Include But Will Not Be Limited To:
- Receiving and processing purchase invoices
- Raising sales invoices
- Liaising with third party suppliers, resolving any queries quickly and efficiently
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Arranging weekly payment runs
- Reviewing and processing staff expenses
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit and debit card reconciliations
- Maintaining Fixed Asset Registers
- Posting journals to maintain an accurate general ledger
- Month end accruals and prepayments postings and maintaining the schedules
- Supporting the Finance team with other month end duties and admin tasks
- Supporting the Finance Manager with monthly and ad hoc reporting
- Liaising with external auditors
- Other ad hoc finance projects
- Cover holiday/sick leave for other members of the finance team
Requirements:
- Experience working in Accounts Payable with some month end experience
- Taken some of the ACCA / CIMA exams or qualified by experience
- Knowledge of Xero (highly advantageous)
- Intermediate level Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly organised and proactive
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong numeracy and problem-solving skills
Salary & Benefits:
- £30,000 - £32,000 plus bonus and benefits including study support (ACCA / CIMA)
- The preference is someone who is NOT London based
- (Salaries can vary and are dependent on experience)
