Sales Development Representative

Responsibilities:

We are looking for an exceptional  Sales & Marketing Development Representative (SMD) to join our growing team.

In this role, you will be responsible for responding to inbound inquiries and increasing our outreach via outbound activity. You will strategically approach target companies and sell automation solutions that will help them achieve their business objectives.


Also, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and manage sales pipelines, prospect and assess sales potential; create detailed prospecting lists using various methods to identify and win new enterprise customers.
  • Schedules customer onboarding calls; transitions the customer-to-Customer Success; expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships. Increase visibility of Workato across all departments within customer accounts.
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs; proactively help customers to assess Workato throughout the decision process.
  • Present, promote and sell products/services using well-formed arguments to existing and prospective customers; provide product demonstration to prospects.
  • Regularly evaluate market potential, track sales and status reports; analyze market to formulate plans to win and grow new and existing businesses by working with Marketing, Customer Success and Product.
  • Work effectively in teams to maximize revenue potential and ensure customer success.
  • Continuously improve through feedback.


Requirements:

  • Qualifications & Experience
  • Apply as a recent graduate, final year undergraduate, or Master's student in any discipline.
  • High level of comfort presenting key client issues, be the customer advocate within Workato.
  • Identify and leverage trends within industry of expertise/focus.
  • Prioritize and deliver outstanding customer service experience to Workato's customers.
  • Technical background or good understanding of technology and industry trends, especially in the app integration space preferred.
  • Experience or interest in customer sales, account management or consulting preferred.

  • Strong collaboration skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic start-up environment with a passion for making an impact.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time, even under high-pressure situations.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical skills with an entrepreneurial and proactive mind-set.
  • Preference given to those located in Japan, South Korea and the Philippines though we will consider applicants across the APAC region.


What You'll Do:

  • Become an expert of the KUDO platform to effectively demo, onboard, and train prospects, clients and meeting attendees
  • Provide operation support for client meetings
  • Enable client and partner success by providing personable, real-time/live meeting support by email, Slack, phone or tickets to troubleshoot technical roadblocks
  • Configure hybrid meeting setups using a range of simultaneous interpretation equipment (Bosch, TAIDEN, Televic, etc...) and a strong familiarity of DANTE protocols
  • Provide on-site conferencing support for simultaneous interpretation systems
  • Share industry guidelines on hardware, equipment and interpretation tools with Clients and Partners
  • Primarily support Sales and Client Management customer-related initiatives


Who You Are:

  • You have 3+ years as an audiovisual engineer, multilingual conferencing systems engineer or similar role
  • You are a skilled trainer and have a knack for breaking down complex concepts into digestible chunks
  • You are a technical engineer with a passion for Sales and get excited about helping customers find solutions
  • You have the ability to read and set up audiovisual schematics or diagrams
  • You have previous experience troubleshooting feature-rich platforms with a deep understanding of 3rd party integrations, analyzing event logs and connection errors, using browser developer tools, etc.
  • You have an excellent command of the English language and are an expert at written/verbal communication and documentation
  • You are comfortable with common troubleshooting tools like Zendesk, Jira, Datadog, Kibana, etc.
  • You thrive in an autonomous, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision to get things done
  • You are driven by entrepreneurship and excel at owning and pushing forward competing priorities
  • Fluent in more than one language (Chinese, Korean, or Japanese preferred)


Bonus Points:

  • Experience in simultaneous interpretation or video web conferencing
  • Familiarity or comfortable working in a globally distributed, remote environment
